The Longmont, CO site offered insight into the Hercules Eco Block’s™ effectiveness in controlling curbline runoff along active residential streets. Blocks were installed behind curbs to capture sediment from disturbed lots and roadwork areas. Over five months, inspectors recorded durability under traffic exposure, sediment accumulation, and maintenance time. The data from this site was especially valuable for evaluating performance in back-of-curb applications where replacement rates are typically high.
280 units (~1,120 ft) were installed. After three months, only two blocks (<1%) were damaged, highlighting long-term reliability under routine site traffic.
Traditional measures were 1.5x more non-compliant. Most Eco Block™ repairs involved quick resets versus full replacements for traditional controls.
